Bio
Debbie Major is one of the Mid-Hudson
Valley's (NY) vocal legends. She began her career in 1976 singing lead
vocals for Topaz, but is most recognized for her band of 17 years,
Streetalk. In her 32 years of performing, Debbie has performed along side such greats
artists as Melissa Manchester, The Monkeys, Lou Rawls, Rich Little,
and Red Buttons!...and worked with such bands as DJ Stone and Shame, Horizon,
Streetalk, Nitelife, Silk 'n Sounds, and The Ed Michaels Orchestra.
Debbie is currently partnered with some of
the areas most accomplished and experienced musicians including Common Ground Orchestra, Michael Dell Orchestra, Face The Music, Steve Raleigh,
and Tony De Paolo.
Debbie is Co-Producer of the original, adult contemporary CD
Thinking of You, and the Contemporary Christian CD,
You Took Me In.
She works on-going with producers Elliot Glenn (On Target Production) and
Steve Raleigh (LWR Productions).

Debbie is currently using her musical
talents to educate young children, adolescents, and adults in piano, vocal, and
performance instruction. In addition, she has forged a powerful and effective
teaching method to help students develop their own musical
talents.
From a combination of her experience
and vast knowledge of musical repertoire in vocal performance, technical expertise,
and teaching skills, plus her natural enthusiasm, humor and empathy,
Debbie has served to educate many of the Mid-Hudson Valley's up and
coming talented vocalists.
